Boone County Democratic and Republican Ballots
**Please remember this is a primary. You will need to pick either the Democratic Ballot or the Republican Ballot. Not all precincts will have a non-partisan ballot. The above ballots are the overall list. Not all races/candidates will appear on your precinct ballot.
Early Voting for the June 28, 2022 General Primary Election will begin on Thursday, May 19, 2022 and end June 27, 2022. Early Voting for Boone County residents will be conducted at the Boone County Clerk's Office, 1212 Logan Ave, Suite 103, Belvidere, IL 61008. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM, except holidays. The office will also be open on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM
For more information about Early Voting please contact the Boone County Clerk's Office at 815-544-3103. There may be construction on Logan Avenue in front of the Boone County Administration Building during the Early Voting hours, so please watch for signs to enter the parking lot.

To be eligible to register to vote, a person:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Naturalized citizens must provide the name of the court where naturalized, state and date of naturalization.
- Must be at least 18 years of age by
- Day; 17 years of age to vote in the General or the Consolidated Primary if individual will be 18 as of the following General or Consolidated Election.
- Must be a resident of the precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day.
- Must not be convicted and in jail.
What is Needed to Register:
Eligible voters who wish to register in person must present two forms of ID at time of registration, one showing their current residence address.

Eligible voters may register online through the State Board of Elections. A valid Illinois Driver's License or State ID is required when registering online. To register online click here.
The law requires Registered Voters to keep their name and address current. You CANNOT VOTE for local candidates or any local propositions if you are not properly registered. You can update your information using any of the ways listed above. Voter registration ends 28 days before an election.
